A great start to the weekend (June 28th)

Walking along marvellous country paths, passing through or stopping by dozens and dozens of the countless scenic spots Val d’Orcia offers, thinking about the beautiful historical palaces we will visit this afternoon in Pienza and San Quirico. Then we’ll go and have dinner in Torrenieri, where we will taste some excellent Brunello di Montalcino wine.

Tomorrow afternoon I will watch Euro 2024’s Italy V Switzerland with our guests from the USA, but not before visiting the local farmers’ market in Buonconvento.

We’re off to a fantastic weekend.

It’s not too good to be true, it’s Val d’Orcia.
