Val d’Orcia: the skies, the stories May 13th

Puliti and ordinati, gli ulivi (Clean and tidy, the olive trees) – May 13th 2024

He was a French chef, and embarked on a journey to Val d’Orcia, in Tuscany, to explore the traditional cuisine of that part of Italy. He did it at the best time to visit Tuscany for his purpose, in Autumn, when grapes are ripe and newly-produced extra-virgin olive oil fills bottles and tin cans. His first goals were to taste the world-renowned Brunello di Montalcino, and savour the richness of extra-virgin local olive oil.

Opting for a holiday in Tuscany, he immersed himself in the flavours and aromas of the region. He did ‘cycling Tuscany’ along the famous strade bianche, and he tried ‘hiking Tuscany’ to discover must-see places in Tuscany, each offering a unique glimpse into the region’s rich heritage.

From the top 10 destinations in Tuscany to the charming Villa Val d’Orcia, every corner held a culinary delight waiting to be savoured. He found refuge in a quaint Val d’Orcia hotel after days filled with exploration and indulgence. With each sip of Brunello di Montalcino and every drizzle of olive oil, he fell deeper in love with the flavours of Tuscany, making his vacanze a truly unforgettable experience.

Vacanza Toscana is for you too.
