La balena dalle scaglie rosa, a sinistra: un’immensa nuvola che copre il cielo per metà cattura gli ultimi riflessi del sole calante. Migliaia di piccoli fuochi rosa compaiono e scompaiono man mano che la nube si sposta verso sud, mossa dal vento. Meraviglioso!
A destra, L’ombra e lo splendore: il sole dà l’arrivederci alla Val d’Orcia gettando le ultime luci sul cielo velato, mentre su questo versante della collina è già calato il buio.
The whale with pink scales, on the left: an immense cloud covers half of the sky and catches the last reflections of the waning sun. Thousands of tiny pink fires appear and disappear as the cloud moves southwards, blown by the wind. Wonderful!
Right, Shadow and splendour: “Good-bye, see you tomorrow”, says the sun to the Val d’Orcia, casting its last light on the veiled sky. Darkness has already fallen on this side of the hill.
